Back from Armidale

I've been back from GP placement for a while now but haven't had the chance to post some photos up. Just a quick bunch of three from my trusty Yashica, away for servicing at the moment, can't wait to get it back!

Armidale Bike Race - Yashica 35 GSN/Tri-X 400
Start of the race! Just a snap from the annual Armidale bike race around the town. Met a nice photographer with a massive lens (seriously, nothing suss) who let me know the good spots to see around town. Managed to get through about 4 cups of coffee that day, it was delicious though :D

Armidale Referral Hospital - Yashica 35 GSN/Tri-X 400
Feel free to comment on this one, it seems quite boring to me but for some reason I keep getting drawn to it. Maybe it's just too late and I've had too much wine but pah. Anyway, it's the morgue/incinerator building at Armidale Hospital, nothing too exciting.

Miss Phan, Birthing Kit Night - Yashica 35 GSN/Tri-X 400
And last, though actually the first chronologically, a portrait of sorts. Another member of the most amazing photographic society this side of somewhere. Expect much more to come from this group of people :D

Will have more soon, just a few more shots left on my roll of Portra, once I work out how to effectively scan that bitch, it'll be up!

So Damn Lazy

Well, so much for my 52 project. I don't quite know what happened.

Anyway, on to news. I've volunteered at a gallery in Newcastle http://galleryraw.com/ which also allows me use of studio facilities.

Naturally, I had to try it out, so with the help of a friend from uni, I finally took some more photos.

Into Darkness - 7D + 50mm 1.4

PMS? - 7D + 50mm 1.4
Hope you enjoy. Now I've got so much more work at uni and I really shouldn't be doing so much photography, I'll probably have more photos ;)

Later bitches.

52 Project

So, it was a failure in 2010, but this year will be different :D

I'm going to try another "picture a week" project for 2011 where I attempt to capture at least one portrait shot every week for the full year. I'm not going to be too strict on myself as long as I can take one photo that I'm proud of each week.

I shall be posting these up as soon as I've finished developing/editing and I hope that I'll be able to keep it up.

Apologies for the lack of writing, I was finishing a film and it didn't work out.....should've read the instructions properly ;)

Anyway, that's all I have to say, I'll leave you with a picture to end/start the year, nothing special but I hope something simple and nice.
